Vauxhall Partners Terms and Conditions

A total of six Vauxhall vehicles can be purchased within any 12 month period, by a Partner/Associate and their nominated relatives/friends. Please note that it is 6 vehicles per ‘Partners Account’ and not 6 vehicles per person; ‘Partners Account’ refers to the original Partner/Associate and all of their subsequent nominees Vehicles purchased on the Vauxhall Partners Programme must be kept for a minimum of six months. GM's Audit Department carries out random checks and may request to see the vehicle's V5 logbook at any time during the minimum 6 months' ownership period. Vauxhall Partners includes all employees and pensioners of nominated companies and their nominated eligible relatives.

‘Common Law’ spouses or same-sex partners are also eligible. To satisfy the Company that a genuine partnership is involved a copy of either a utility bill or credit card statement, bearing the same address as the employee, must be provided. This copy must be held in the vehicle registration file for audit purposes. Only one partner can be registered per employee.

Vauxhall Partners Discount

All Vauxhall Partners Discount offers detailed here are available on new vehicles ordered or registered between 07.07.10 and 30.09.10 inclusive. All other sales categories are excluded. UK-supplied vehicles only. Offers are available on selected Retailer stocks at participating Retailers only. Contact your Vauxhall Retailer for details. Expression and ES models are excluded from the Partners programme.

Vauxhall Partners discounts are calculated on the RRP excluding VAT and also apply to delivery charges and any options ordered with the vehicle. Prices are subject to change. Vauxhall Partners prices include Partners discount savings, Customer Savings (incl. VAT) where applicable, number plates, delivery, Vehicle Excise Duty and a first registration fee. Excludes fuel and insurance. Some vehicles shown may feature factory-fitted options and accessories such as metallic paint and alloy wheels, which are available at extra cost.

Calculating the ‘Your Price’ figure

‘Your Price’ is calculated from the on-the-road (OTR) price – excluding the £55 New Vehicle First Registration Fee, Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and VAT – using the discount percentage stated.

Vauxhall Partners Swappage Scheme

The Vauxhall Partners Swappage Scheme applies to customers trading in a qualifying car or commercial vehicle (up to 3.5 tonnes) against the purchase of selected new Vauxhall models when ordered or registered between 13.07.10 and 30.09.10. At the date of the new vehicle order, the vehicle traded in must be seven years old or older from date of first registration in the UK. To qualify for the scheme, the owner of the trade vehicle (or their spouse/partner living at the same UK address) must be named as the registered keeper and resident at the UK address shown on the Vehicle Registration Document (V5C) and have owned the vehicle for a minimum of 90 days. The new vehicle must be registered at the same address. The vehicle must have a valid MOT and road tax (or that has expired no earlier than 14 days prior to the new vehicle order date) and be insured at the date of the new vehicle order. All Vauxhall Partners Swappage discounts are inclusive of VAT. Offers available to private customers, Vauxhall Partners and small businesses 1-24 (purchase only), on selected Retailer stocks at participating Retailers only.

Passenger Cars 0% Finance

0% Finance cannot be used in conjunction with any other Finance offers.

Additional September Partners Discounts

The Partners Voucher Offer entitles the bearer to £1500 off Insignia and Astra Sport Hatch models and £1000 off Corsa models, and is only available to Vauxhall Partners customers on eligible new models registered between 16 August and 30 September 2010 (excludes all Expression and ES models). The offer can be used on top of Vauxhall Partners discount and all other eligible offers (where applicable), excluding Vauxhall Swappage or Loyalty Allowances.

Vauxhall Vehicle Terms for Lifetime Warranty

This warranty provided by the manufacturer does not adversely affect the statutory rights of the purchaser against the seller and gives remedies in addition to those against the seller under the contract of sale. Claims by the purchaser, in particular for a defect on a vehicle, against the selling Vauxhall Distributor remain unaffected by the warranty.

General Motors UK Limited and its successors in title (hereinafter called “Vauxhall”) warrants for vehicles of their manufacture:

  • 12 months, without limitation of mileage, from the date the vehicle is delivered to the original purchaser by the Authorised Distributor, as stated in the warranty booklet.
  • Between 13 and 36 months with a limitation of 60,000 miles, whatever comes first.
  • Beyond the limit of a) 60,000 miles and b) 36 months, whichever comes first for the lifetime of the vehicle to the first registered owner of the vehicle or until the new vehicle has been driven 100,000 miles, under the terms and conditions stated below.
  • All derivatives of Movano, Vivaro, Combo and all car-derived vans are not eligible for Lifetime Warranty.

1. Lifetime Warranty for the First Registered Owner


1.1 Duration of the warranty, dependence on first owner

Vauxhall undertakes that each new motor vehicle including all accessories supplied thereon by Vauxhall as original equipment will be free from defect in material or workmanship according to the state of the art under normal use and service for an unlimited time period and a maximum of 100.000 miles. The warranty is valid for the first registered owner of the vehicle who bought the vehicle at a Vauxhall Authorised Dealer.

The warranty starts with the date of delivery by the Vauxhall Dealer or date of first registration, whatever comes first.

1.2 Coverage of the Lifetime Warranty

The warranty applies to free of charge repair of the vehicle by a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer, i.e. Vauxhall’s obligations under this warranty being limited to repairing or replacing at its option any parts by a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer. The repair or replacement of defective parts under this undertaking will be made by the Authorised Repairer to whom the vehicle is returned, free of charge to the customer.

For the parts fitted during a repair, until expiry of the warranty mileage limitation according to Paragraph 1, the same warranty is given as for the motor vehicle, i.e. the warranty is not extended by the repair or replacement of parts even for the parts rectified or replaced. Replaced parts become the property of Vauxhall.

Warranty claims can only be made on presentation of the certificate of Lifetime Warranty and the Service and Warranty Booklet with the international warranty certificate completed and signed by the supplying Vauxhall Authorised Retailer. Lifetime Warranty cover is also dependent upon the confirmation that the vehicle has been serviced in accordance with the manufacturers recommended servicing schedule.

Vauxhall reserves the right to appoint its own engineer to inspect the vehicle prior to any repair or replacement of part(s) covered.

Vauxhall at its discretion may elect to agree with the owner a value for the vehicle in case the parts and labour cost of the repair exceeds the economic value of the vehicle, or in case the parts are no longer available.

Covered components of the Lifetime Warranty

The Lifetime Warranty is valid only for the following components of the vehicle:

  • Engine and transmission and electronic parts of the powertrain such as ECU
  • Powertrain: drive shafts, differential gears, electronic parts of the powertrain
  • Steering: steering gear, pump, electronic parts of the steering system
  • Brake system: ABS/ESP System including hydraulic unit, brake booster, main and wheel brake cylinders, vacuum pump, brake proportioning valve
  • Fuel system: fuel pump, injection pump, electronic parts of the fuel injection systems
  • Exhaust system: turbo charger including actuator, electronic parts of the exhaust system, Lambda Sond
  • Cooling system: radiator, heater core, thermostat, water pump, radiator for the automatic transmission, cooling fan
  • Safety systems: electronic control unit for airbags and for seat belt tensioners
  • Air condition: compressor, evaporator, condenser, fan
  • Electrical equipment: electronic control units excluding navigation, lighting- and radar system, but including repair by flashing new software, generator, starter, electronic parts of the ignition system, ignition wiring, central electric units, instrument cluster unit, board computer, wiper motors, heating ventilator, horn, electronic parts of the window lifters, front/ rear window heaters (excluding breakage), electronic parts of the sunroof, the central door locking and the convertible roof.

Wiring harnesses, hoses and connectors are excluded.

Furthermore, not covered are all service maintenance repairs and wear and tear parts as mentioned in section 3 of the Vauxhall Warranty terms. Excluded is the replacement of components that have failed due to wear and tear.

The warranty does not extend to the fixing of consequential damage caused by the above mentioned covered components.

1.3 Customer duties to retain warranty

The Lifetime Warranty is dependent on an annual visit of the vehicle to a Vauxhall Authorised repairer who will activate and validate the warranty extension for another year starting from the new activation date.

Activation and validation of the warranty is required every 12 months. This can only be carried out by a Vauxhall Authorised repairer.

The activation and validation can be performed up to 14 days after the expiry date of the preceding certificates expiry date.

Annual activation and validation of the lifetime warranty cover is also dependent upon the confirmation that the vehicle has been serviced in accordance with the manufacturers recommended servicing schedule. Vauxhall may request details of this service history at any time during the warranty period.

1.4 Data protection

The activation and validation of the lifetime warranty requires Vauxhall to maintain personal data of the owner.

We would like to use your information to keep you informed about new products, services, special offers and to measure and improve how we service you. Your information will only be disclosed to GMUK, its affilitated or associated companies, Retailers and companies working on behalf of GMUK.

Commercial Vehicles 0% Finance

4 Years 0% Finance with minimum 20% deposit (plus VAT on the total transaction price).

Availability

Customer is required to pay the minimum deposit plus the VAT on the total transaction price.

Commercial Vehicles 4 Years Warranty

4 Years Warranty up to 80,000 miles for Corsavan, Astravan and Combo and 120,000 miles for Vivaro and Movano. The warranty will expire when the vehicle has reached either 4 years or when the mileage limit has been exceeded, whichever occurs first. This offer includes Vauxhall’s standard Customer Care Commitment of a one-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and a second and third year manufacturer’s warranty with a 60,000 miles (Corsavan, Astravan and Combo) and 100,000 miles (Vivaro and Movano) limitation. Please note, the additional 1 year/20.000 miles warranty on Vivaro/Movano vehicles applies to the base vehicle only. The warranty excludes wear and tear and serviceable items, and the vehicle has to be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s servicing schedule.
